FRUIT FACTS

I'm truly excited to be bringing you this information today about the miraculous power of fruits!!! we wonder why all the doctors priscribe us to have more fruit diet....Researchers studying children in Greece found that those who eat a Mediterranean diet rich in vegetables, fruits, nuts, and olive oil experience less respiratory allergies and asthma than other children. Did you know that the health of your large intestine is reflected in the health of your skin? Your large intestine and skin are organs that interact with the environment. They both absorb and emit...The consumption of fruits and vegetables during pregnancy can reduce the chance of a miscarriage. here, let me share some of the fruit facts that actually can keep us healthy...

Banana
-They area good source of potassium, fibre, folic acid & Vitamins A & B6-One medium-sized banana contains nearly quarter of the recommended daily intake of potassium. Research suggests that a diet high in potassium may reduce the risk of hypertension & stroke.-They help in maintaining blood sugar levels & are a great energy boosting snack-perfect for people on the go!-They’re also easily digested & don’t give the bowels any problems.

Rasberry (One of the most popular & flavourable fruits, the little rasberry contains some big nutrients.)
-Like strawberry (its cousin), rasberries are very high in ellagic acid, which is good for the immune system.
-Rasberries are also rich in dietary fibres, required for smooth running of the digestive system.
-Research shows that the rasberry can improve night vision.So, move over the carrot here comes the rasberry.
-They are packed with vitamin C-a handful has almost half of the recommended daily intake.

Strawberry
-A handful of strawberries contains over 100% of the recommended daily dose of vitamin C.
-Strawberries are rich in potassium which is required for optimum nerve function, muscle control & blood pressure.
-They are also high in fibre & folic acid.-Strawberries produce ellagic acid which is thought to be an effective painkiller.

Apple (The humble apple-there’s some truth to the old saying: ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away!’)
-Apples are a cleansing fruit that fight infections & absorb toxins- & they’re loaded with pectin, a soluble fibre that aids digestion.
-Apples contain an important flavanoid, quercetin, which has anti-inflammatory properties.-They contain vitamins A, B & C, potassium, iron & magnesium.
-Antioxidant phytonutrients found in apples fight the damaging effects of bad cholesterol to help keep the heart healthy.

Pineapple (This tropical beauty received its name due to its resemblence to the pine cone.)
-Pineapples are packed full of vitamin C and fibre-important for the immune & digestive systems.
-Pineapples have anti-inflammatory effects which are good for those long hard days & those heroic sporting injuries.
-They contain the enzyme bromelain which is thought to aid digestion.
