This problem is sometimes unavoidable. May be you are travelling in the peek trafic hours, or tensed up when your boss asks you to work extra. I have some first aid procedures for asthama attacks...
Aasthma attack is when something ( dust, pollen, cigarette smoke) triggers a switchin the person that causes their air passages to constrict, tighten, and spasmcausing the person to cough, wheeze and have difficulty breathing. They can alsobe caused by anxiety and tension. Most people who suffer attacks will carry medication with them.
If someone you are with having an attack:
Help them assume an upright position, it will be for them to breathe thanif they were lying down. You may want to encourage the person to sit withtheir legs crossed and their elbows on their knees as this is a relaxing position and may easebreathing.
Talk to the person calmly and try to help them to relax.
Make sure they are in an area where there is a good supply of clean air.
As soon as the person is sitting down, give them their medication.Assist them. Shake thepuffer and give them one puff of reliever (with or without a spacer), theyshould then hold that breath for 4 seconds then breathe in and outnormally 4 times. Repeat this step four times.
Wait for few minutes. If there is no improvement repeat the previous stepagain.
If there is still no improvement call an ambulance and continue repeating the process until help arrives.
Sounds scary but please do help the people in need...

THE PILLARS OF SELF-MASTERY(PART-1)
Sleep less: This is one of the best investment you can make to make your life more productive and rewarding
Set aside one hour every morning for personal developmentmatters. Meditate, visualize your day, read inspirationaltexts to set the tone of your day, listen to motivationaltapes or read great literature. Starting the day off well is apowerful strategy for self renewal .
Laugh for five minutes in the mirror each morning. Laughteractivates many beneficial chemicals within the body thatplace us into a very joyous state. Laughter also returns the body to a state of balance. A 4 year old laughs 500 times a daywhile the average adult is lucky to laugh 15 times a day
Set aside every Sunday evening for yourself and your familyand be strongly disciplined with this habit.
To enhance your concentration and power of focus, count yoursteps when you walk. This is a particularly strong technique.so many people allow their minds to be filled with mentalchatter. All peak performers appreciate the power of a quietclear mind which will concentrate steadily on all importanttasks.
Enhance your will-power. You must first exercise it and then pushbefore it gets stronger. When you are hungry, wait another hourbefore your meal. When you are labouring over a difficult taskand your mind is prompting you to pick up the latest magazinefor a break , curb the impulse. Soon you will be able to sit forhours in a precisely concentrated state. Newton had a remarkableability to sit quietly and think without interruption for a very longperiod of time. If he can develop this so can you
Never discuss your health, wealth and other personal matters with anyone outside your immediate family. Be very disciplined in this regard.
Cultivate the art of walking half an hour after your dinner. Walks in natural settings are the very best. Walking is, perhaps, nature’s ideal exercise.
Be careful about your reputation. Never do anything you wouldn’t be proud to tell your mother about. Have fun always but temper it with common sense and prudence.
Become your spouse”s number one supporter, the one who is always there supporting and fueling hopes and dreams. Develop together and march confidently through the world as an army of two.
Try fasting one day every two weeks. During these fast days, drink fruit juice and eat fresh fruits only. You will feel more energetic, cleansed and alert.
Drown your appetite by drinking more water – ten glasses a day is ideal. It revitalizes the system and purifies the body. Also get into the habit of eating soups and more complex carbohydrates such as rise, potatoes than other less healthy foods.
A contented mind is a continual feast. Greed and material desires must be curbed to achieve lasting happiness and serenity. Be happy with what you have.
Every day, get away from the noise, the crowds and the rush and spend a few hours alone in peaceful introspection, deep reading or simple relaxation.
Empty your cup. A full cup cannot accept anything more. Similarly, a person who believes that he cannot learn anything else will stagnate quickly and not move to higher levels. Even the teachers have teachers.
Drink a cup of warm water before a speech. Ronald Reagan
Employed this strategy to ensure that he maintained his honey-smooth voice. You will be judged by the caliber of your communication skills.
Always remember the key principle that the quality of your life
Is the quality of your communication. This means the way you
Communicate with others and more, importantly with yourself. What you focus on is what you get.
Aromas have been proven to be an effective means of entering a state of relaxation. Scents have a very noticeable effect on your mindset and moods.
Never argue with the person you work for – you will lose more than just the argument
Do not take personal development books as gospel. Read them and take whatever useful ideas you need. Some people fee they must do everything suggested and take the techniques to extremes. Every book has at least one tool or strategy of benefit.
Keep well-informed about current events, the latest books and popular trends. Many peak performers read five or six papers a day. You don’t have to read every story of every paper. Know what to focus on.
Readers are leaders. US Ex President Bill Clinton read more than 300 books during his short time at Oxford University. Some top performers read a book a day. The more you know, the less you fear.
When you cannot make up your mind which of two evenly balanced courses of action you should take-choose the bolder, said WJ.Slim. Take chances, take smart risks and you will meet with success beyond your dreams.
You sow an action, you reap a habit. You sow a habit, you reap a character. You sow a character, you reap a destiny. The essence of a person is his character- make yours unique, unblemished and strong. Do not say you will do anything unless you will indeed do it. Speak the truth and measure your words wisely. Be humble, straight forward and peaceful.
some more to add, but u have to wait :)

Do not use mineral water bottles!!!
Many are unaware of poisoning caused by re-using the plastic bottles. Some of u may be in the habit of using and re-using your disposable mineral water bottles, keeping them in your car or at work. Not a good idea.
It happened in dubai, when a 12 year old girl died after a long usage(16 months) of mineral water bottle, as she used to carry the same fancy(painted by herself) bottle to her school daily. In a nutshell, the plastic(called polyethylene terephalate or PET) used in these bottles contains a potentially carcinogenic element(called diethylhydroxylamine or DEHA). The bottles are safe for one-time use only; if you must keep them longer, it should be or no more than a few days, week max, and keep them away from heat as well. Repeated washing and rinsing can cause the plastic to break down and the carcinogens(cancer causing chemical elements) can leak into the water that YOU are drinking. Better to invest in water bottles that are really meant for multiple uses. This is not something we shouls be scrimping on. Those of you with family- do please advice them, especially children. After all, PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE

Water The Great Healer !
Water therapy has been used for centuries to heal the sick.
Amazing! But True!!!
6 glasses of water (1 litre) - Astonishing Performance God has given us plenty and free water. Without spending on medicine, tablets, injections, diagnosis, Doctor fees, etc., just by drinking pure water, the following diseases will be cured. You can never believe before practising. Let us see the list of diseases being cured by this therapy.
Diseases cured by Drinking water
Blood Pressure / Hypertension, Anemia (Blood Shortage), Rheumatism (Pain in joints / muscles), General Paralysis, Obesity, Arthritis, Sinusitis, Tachycardia, Giddiness, Cough, Leukemia, Asthma, Bronchitis, Pulmonary Tuberculosis, Meningitis, Kidney Stones, Hyper Acidity, Dysentry, Gastroenteritis, Uterus Cancer, Rectal Piodapse, Constipation, Hostorthobics, Diabetes, Eye Diseases, Ophthalmic Hemorrhage & Opthalmia (Reddisheye), Irregular Menstruation, Breast Cancer, Laryngitis, Headache, Leukemia, Urogenital Diseases
How does pure water act?
Consuming ordinary drinking water by the right method purifies human body. It renders the colon more effective by forming new fresh blood, known in medical terms as Haematopaises. That the mucousal folds of the colon and intestines are activated by this method, is an undisputed fact, just as the theory that new fresh blood is produced by the mucousal fold.If the colon is cleaned then the nutrients of the food taken several times a day will be absorbed and by the action of the mucousal folds they are turned into fresh blood. The blood is all important in curing ailments and restoring health, and for this water should be consumed in a regular pattern
How to do this water therapy?
1) Early morning after you get up from bed (without even brushing your teeth) drink 1.50 litres of water i.e., 5 ? to 6 ? glasses.
Better to premeasure 1.50 litres of water. Let us all know that our ancestors termed this therapy as "Usha Paana Chikitsa". You may wash your face thereafter.
2) Here it is very essential to note that nothing else - neither drinks nor solid food of any sort - should be taken within 1? hours before and after drinking this 1.50 litres of water.
3) It is also to be strictly observed that no Alcoholic drinks should be taken the previous night.
4) If required, boiled and filtered water may be used for this purpose. Is it possible to drink 1.50 litres of water at one time?
To begin with, one may find it difficult to drink 1.50 litres of water at one time, but one will get used to it gradually.
Initially, while practising you may drink four glasses first and the balance two glasses after a gap of two minutes.
Initially you may find the necessity to urinate 2 to 3 times within an hour, but it will become normal after sometime.
By research and experience, the following diseases are observed to be cured with this therapy within the indicated days as below
Constipation: 1 day
Acidity: 2 days
Diabetes: 7 days
BP & Hypertension: 4 weeks
Cancer: 4 weeks
Pulminory TB: 3 months
Life is Short, Just go for it I make an earnest request that the above method should be read and practised carefully. Please spread this message to your friends, relatives and neighbours - it is a great service to the humanity. By God's grace all should lead healthy life.

Did you know that the health of your large intestine is reflected in the health of your skin? Your large intestine and skin are organs that interact with the environment. They both absorb and emit...The consumption of fruits and vegetables during pregnancy can reduce the chance of a miscarriage. here, let me share some of the fruit facts that actually can keep us healthy...
Banana
-They area good source of potassium, fibre, folic acid & Vitamins A & B6-One medium-sized banana contains nearly quarter of the recommended daily intake of potassium. Research suggests that a diet high in potassium may reduce the risk of hypertension & stroke.-They help in maintaining blood sugar levels & are a great energy boosting snack-perfect for people on the go!-They’re also easily digested & don’t give the bowels any problems.

Are we felling very pinchy summers from the past few years.....
After years of debate, consensus among most of the world's scientists holds that we are warming the planet. Unless we take steps now to curb global warming, our way of life, our planet, and our children are all in grave danger. There is hope. Each us can make simple decisions that will reduce global warming pollution. The choices we make and the products we buy test our commitment to maintain a healthy planet. When we burn fossil fuels—such as oil, coal, and natural gas—to run our cars and light our homes, we pump carbon dioxide (CO2) into the air. This thickens the heat-trapping blanket that surrounds the planet, causing global warming. Choosing modern technology can reduce our use of fossil fuels and help protect the planet.
The Hard Facts of Global WarmingThe science behind global warming is conclusive and well-documented. For over fifty years, scientists have been measuring the concentrations of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from the Mauna Loa laboratory in Hawaii. They have found that the concentration of CO2 has been increasing by about one part per million every year - an increase that is caused by the burning of unprecedented amounts of fossil fuels over the last two hundred years of industrialization. Scientists have also been studying ice to tell us about our planet's climate history. Data taken from deep core drilling on the ice sheets near the north and south poles show that historically, higher concentrations of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere have lead to global warming. We are already seeing this trend of warming today - the ten hottest years on record have all occurred within the last fifteen years.
We call the result global warming, but it is causing a set of changes to the Earth's climate, or long-term weather patterns, that varies from place to place. As the Earth spins each day, the new heat swirls with it, picking up moisture over the oceans, rising here, settling there. It's changing the rhythms of climate that all living things have come to rely upon.
What will we do to slow this warming? How will we cope with the changes we've already set into motion? While we struggle to figure it all out, the face of the Earth as we know it—coasts, forests, farms and snow-capped mountains—hangs in the balance.
